2014 visit to an LDS (Mormon) sacrament meeting

I visited the sacrament meeting, Gospel principles class, and priesthood meeting at the ward meeting house at 1400 Dulaney Valley Road, Lutherville, Md., on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the invitation of two missionaries from Utah, Elders Sturgeon and Ostler.

The meeting began about 10 AM, and the priesthood meeting ended at about 1 PM, at which time I departed, with plans to meet again with the two young missionaries a few days later.

I thought about inviting them to celebrate mass with me on June 15, but that Sunday marks the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, and Mormons don’t acknowledge the Trinity in the same way Catholics or Protestants do. I’ll invite them anyway, but what I really hope to do is post a commentary on the readings for the day. We’ll see what happens.

I will be posting my response to their invitation to worship on these pages (a link will be provided below) within about a week, after it is formatted and proofread.
