![]() Welcome to Ezek22.netIn 2004, my friend Amber and I created this Web site with the hope of promoting education and friendship, and since then, it has grown into a resource for Christian ecumenical discussion and study. Thomas Jefferson, in the Declaration of Independence, wrote that we are all created equal, endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that to secure these rights, governments are instituted. Ezekiel 22:30 says, "[God] looked for someone among [us] who could build walls or stand by the gaps in the walls to defend the land and keep it from being destroyed. But [he] couldn't find anyone." We sincerely hope something on this site "stands in the gaps" for you, helping to keep you safe in your pursuit of ultimate happiness. |

Lectionary Reflections

Words to Live ByWhat you find hateful, do not do to another. That is the whole of the Law. The rest is commentary. —Rabbi Ben Hillel You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. —Jesus Our Christian PrayerLord, we try to do something every day to give thanks to you and to show your love to other people. May we, one day, come to share everlasting life in the divinity of Christ, who humbled himself, once upon a time, to share in our humanity. |
